Grammy-award winning rock juggernauts Slipknot released their long awaited fifth studio album  on Roadrunner Records, .5: The Gray Chapter.   Heralded by fans and critics around the world as an artistic triumph, the album is available now in stores and at all online retailers.  .5: The Gray Chapter includes the current single “The Devil In I,” which is currently #2 on the Active Rock radio chart, while the M. Shawn Crahan directed video has received over 8.6 million YouTube views in only 5 weeks.

Slipknot celebrated the release of .5: The Gray Chapter with their much anticipated U.S. live return at their own KNOTFEST, a monumental three-day metal and heavy music destination festival that took place October 24th through the 26th at San Bernardino, California’s San Manuel Amphitheater & Campgrounds. KNOTFEST Slipknot embarked on their nationwide “Prepare For Hell” tour, which saw them joined by special guests Korn and openers KING 810, kicking off October 29TH in El Paso, TX (see itinerary below).

What’s more, Slipknot’s frontman Corey Taylor made an appearance on the Emmy Nominated talk show web series, Larry King Now on Thursday, October 23rd at 5:00PM ET.  Taylor sat down for a one-on-one interview with King to discuss the evolution of Slipknot and the process of creating their new album, .5 The Gray Chapter.  Larry King Now airs onwww.ora.tv/larrykingnow and www.hulu.com/larry-king-now.

This past August, Slipknot unveiled their first new track in more than six years titled “The Negative One” which immediately hit #1 on Billboard's Trending 140 chart, with the band and track both quickly becoming trending topics on Twitter globally and in the US. Slipknot quickly followed with more new music releasing “The Devil In I,” the acclaimed single from.5: The Gray Chapter whose stunning companion video has drawn over 8.6 million streams on the band’s official YouTubeRolling Stone praised .5: The Gray Chapter, calling the record “…the most multi-dimensional album of their nearly 20-year career,” while Billboardlauded the new material as “…a headbanging odyssey from its gnashing guitar squalls to singer Corey Taylor’s final deranged laugh.”  Revolver exclaimed “…another great Slipknot record has emerged” and Alternative Press applauded the collection stating, “The 14 songs that make up the band’s full-fledged return to the heavy music scene, are reflective, more emotional than ever before, and the best balance of Slipknot’s melodic and demonic sides to date.”
