New Delhi, 15 January, 2015: Snapdeal, India’s largest online marketplace, today announced an association with Bollywood movie ‘Chalk N Duster’ under their project Snapdeal Sunshine. The movie which releases today stars veteran actresses Shabana Azmi and Juhi Chawla Mehta, and highlights some of the evils facing our education system. Chalk N Duster showcases the plight of teachers and students in our country and emphasizes on establishing teaching as one of the most dignified professions.
Snapdeal Sunshine is an initiative to empower people to support social causes by donating products. At present, there are eleven diverse projects covering causes ranging from education, health, community development, disaster relief, girl child and old age care that are being spearheaded through Snapdeal Sunshine. By associating with ‘Chalk N Duster’, Snapdeal aims to create awareness for its Snapdeal Sunshine programme where customers can donate products to NGOs championing the cause of education, namely, Teach for India, Care India and Giveindia. Donors can track progress of delivery of the donated products on Snapdeal’s website.
